Two teenagers set out across a ruined continent to find a city they have only read about in a comic book. They have no reason to believe it exists. They go anyway.
GLEN AND RANDA (1971) follows its young couple as they leave the small tribal community that raised them after nuclear war has leveled civilization, wandering a landscape stripped of highways, cities, and the people who once filled them. Glen's idea of the world beyond comes entirely from pre-war comics, and he has convinced himself that somewhere out there, a metropolis still stands waiting.
Steve Curry and Shelley Plimpton (Martha's mom) play the pair with a loose, unrehearsed naturalism that fits the film's drifting, episodic structure. Jim McBride directs from a script he wrote with Lorenzo Mans and Rudy Wurlitzer, treating the apocalypse not as spectacle but as a blank page onto which two uneducated kids project half-remembered myths of American progress.
Alan Raymond's documentary-style cinematography gives the wasteland an eerie, lived-in quality, closer to a road movie shot on location than a studio vision of the end of the world. The film has largely vanished from view, a strange artifact of post-apocalyptic cinema made before the genre had settled into its conventions.

Thanks for the tip.
Fallout 4 😀
Wow, I don’t think I’ve ever heard of this one. Will check it out. Thanks!
If you showed me those photos without context, I would have assumed the young man with the hair was from the early 2000s.
Patience is required. There’s not much in the way of “plot.”
