A cosmetics magnate is lured into a mud bath and killed with skin-rejuvenation electrodes. A man is coaxed into a bedroom, whipped and suffocated.

Cheri Caffaro plays Samantha Fox, a contract assassin who lives on a yacht between assignments and eliminates her targets with a combination of seduction, improvisation, and whatever happens to be at hand.

Caffaro designed her own wardrobe and performed her own stunts. The martial arts sequences are choreographed at a pace best described as contemplative.

Don Schain began directing his wife Cheri in exploitation films in 1971 with Ginger, in which she played a libidinous private detective. Three Ginger films followed. By 1977 they had moved from private detective to international assassin and relocated from New Jersey to the Philippines.

Schain attempts James Bond-style banter throughout. The dialogue never quite leaves the gutter, which is either a failure of execution or a valid creative choice depending on your position.

TOO HOT TO HANDLE (1977) - also released as She's Too Hot to Handle in a heavily edited 74-minute British cut - was distributed by Roger Corman's New World Pictures and shot on location in Manila. The photography by Fredy Conde gives the film more visual atmosphere than its budget had any right to produce.

The score was composed by Hugo Montenegro, whose 1968 pop-instrumental cover of "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" topped the UK Singles Chart for four weeks in 1968.

A sequel was intended. It was not made.
