Psychomania (1973)

George Sanders took his own life shortly after the film's completion, leaving a note that read, "Dear World, I am leaving because I am bored." Here, in his final role, he plays a man who brokers deals with the Devil for eternal life.

PSYCHOMANIA (1973) follows a motorcycle gang called the Living Dead whose leader discovers, through his devil-worshipping mother and her sinister butler, that if you commit suicide while genuinely believing you will return from the dead, you will.

The gang members then take turns killing themselves in inventive ways in order to achieve immortality and continue terrorizing Surrey.

The funeral sequence where the gang buries their leader sitting upright on his motorcycle, surrounded by flower garlands while a folk singer performs, is one of the stranger tableaux in British cinema.

One critic at the time declared Psychomania fit only for "SS reunion parties."
