Three Giant Men (1973)
Spider-Man is a violent psychopath who runs a counterfeiting operation in Istanbul. He is opposed by Captain America, who has no shield, and a Mexican luchador called Santo.
Historian Ed Glaser calls this the first comic book crossover film ever made, produced decades before Marvel built an empire on the concept.
The Turkish film industry, nicknamed Yeşilçam for the Istanbul street it was centered on, produced more than two hundred films a year. By some counts it stood as the third largest film industry in the world, behind Hollywood and India.
Turkey had no effective copyright law for film until 1986. 3 DEV ADAM (1973) - translated as "3 Giant Men" - was, of course, unauthorized.
