Podcast Ep. 20 – Crowdfunding Success Story: BLUE BORSALINO, with Mark Lobatto

The BLUE BORSALINO Kickstarter campaign reached its goal of £10,000.00 (more than $15,000.00) in just four days. As of this writing, the total stands at £16,416 (nearly $25,000) – and the campaign has still got 16 days to go. This is an astounding success.  Why? What is it about this apparently modest short film that has attracted such attention?

Well, it doesn’t hurt to have the likes of Lily James (DOWNTON ABBEY, CINDERELLA) involved…

…Or to be reasonably well-connected in a small but vibrant regional film community. Or to have a killer pitch and wonderfully evocative concept art.

Join me as I sit down with London filmmaker Mark Lobatto to discuss his (now certainly) upcoming noir thriller, BLUE BORSALINO.
